School on Friday, December 21

Dear Ogden community;

Leading up to December 21st there have been rampant rumors across the state and across the nation about concerns of supposed threats. Unfortunately, Ogden has not been immune to these rumors and in light of the recent tragedies we understand that everyone is on high alert. I fully understand how important it is for you to know that your children are safe.

When it comes to our students nothing is more important than their safety. For this reason we always encourage our students to come forth if they have any information about potential threats. I assure you that we thoroughly investigate all tangible information and when necessary, act swiftly to ensure student safety.

School will be open on Friday, December 21 and teachers will be here to welcome all of our students and teach originally planned lessons. And in response to many of your concerns, we worked with Clackamas county sheriff to add additional security throughout the day.

Warmly,

Libby Miller, principal
